- What can I say, that Mentzen went crazy for a moment? That's his problem - said Dariusz Stefaniuk from PiS in "Debata Gozdyry" about the comment of the Confederation candidate Karol Nawrocki on housing.

- I think that such entries are absolute madness. This is an electoral calculation by the Confederation candidate , because he was very, very close and suddenly the polls collapsed - he added and noted that what Mentzen says "is not the revealed truth".

- I assure you that we did not attack the PiS candidate because we know how polarized the political scene is. However, as the right wing, we are embarrassed and expect explanations - said Grzegorz Płaczek from the Confederation .

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Tomasz Szymański from PO also commented on the matter. - There was one innocent question from Magdalena Biejat, which could have been answered simply: two or three - he said.

- But if you lie at the beginning, you get stuck in it later, and the other right-wing candidate smelled blood and dug in his fangs. A lot will have to be done to stop this bleeding - added the coalition politician.

On Tuesday evening, Sławomir Mentzen's social media profile published a post in which the Confederation candidate for president commented on the confusion surrounding Karol Nawrocki.

" Nawrocki did something absolutely disgusting . He took over an apartment from an elderly and sick person without paying for it. On top of that, he lied to the notary that he had paid, and he also forced the seller of the apartment to lie. I cannot imagine how something like that could be acceptable to someone with any social sensitivity," Mentzen wrote.

The leader of New Hope assured that he "will not pretend that nothing is happening or defend what Nawrocki did". "Maybe in your PiS, just like in PO, you tolerate any nasty stuff, just because someone from your side did it, but it is not normal" - he emphasized. At the same time, Mentzen himself admitted that throughout "the entire campaign he attacked Trzaskowski and Tusk", explaining that "they deserved it".

" I spared Nawrocki , even though he did not seem to be the best-chosen candidate. But there are certain boundaries that Nawrocki, and you together with him, crossed. And I will not let myself be convinced that tolerating disgusting things is good for Poland," he noted.
